Can I leave furniture in my mobile home for transport?
Mobile homes were designed for transport
with factory installed equipment and accessories only. Too
much added weight could cause structural damage to the trailer.
Speak to your chosen transporter too see what's appropriate
and what's not. Any items left inside should be tightly secured,
and placed on the floor.
How should I prepare my mobile home or RV for transport?
All doors including cabinet doors and
windows should be tape or tied closed. All antennas, flower
boxes, propane gas bottles, sheds should be removed and placed
away from the unit. Take down all pictures and mirrors hanging
on the walls. No hazardous materials may be left in your home
during transport including gas or oil tanks, ammunition of
any kind, or any other materials, which may be considered
hazardous. Ask your transporter if you are unsure.
Can I leave my air conditioning unit or heat pumps hooked
Again anything that is not a part of the
trailers factory installed equipment must be removed for transport
and then reinstalled.
What forms of payment methods do Mobile Home movers accept?
Transporters will accept cash, credit cards, or certified
funds for the deposit. The balance is usually in the form
of cash or certified funds, unless other arrangements have
been made. Please check with your Transporter to be certain
of their payment policies.
